Cancellations and refunds
All sales are final — we do not refund a booking, workshop seat, membership or kit just because plans changed. Where a refund is fair, we would rather keep the value with you: approved refunds are credited to your account as Melon Points you can spend on anything with us, and the cases the law requires are always returned to your original payment method.
All sales are final
Day passes, space bookings, workshop seats, memberships and shop orders are non-refundable once paid.
That includes changing your mind, not turning up, arriving late, cancelling at short notice, or simply not using what you bought. We hold a seat, a table or a kit for you and turn other people away for it — that cost does not disappear because plans change.
We say this plainly here so that nobody is surprised later.
Cancelling from your account
Free workshop seats and space bookings can be cancelled from your account — the seat or slot is released for someone else. A space booking you paid for can still be cancelled to free the slot, but the payment itself is final as above.
A workshop seat or shop order you have paid for cannot be cancelled in one tap — choose Request a refund on it instead (see below), so we can look after you properly rather than quietly cancelling with nothing back.
Unpaid orders can be cancelled from your cart before checkout at any time. Memberships run to the end of the period you have paid for and simply do not renew once you cancel.
When we do refund you
There are three cases, and in these cases you do not have to ask twice.
If we cancel or reschedule a workshop and the new date does not suit you, you get the full amount back. Your money is not ours to keep because our plans changed.
If you were charged twice, or charged for something that failed, we return the difference. You do not have to prove anything.
If the law requires a refund in your circumstances, you get one. Nothing on this page overrides your rights as a consumer.
How refunds are paid
In the three cases above, the money goes back to the card, UPI ID or account you paid from — we cannot send it anywhere else. We start the refund within 2 working days of agreeing it, and it reaches you within 5 to 7 working days after that, depending on your bank. Any Melon Points you redeemed on that purchase are returned to your balance.
For anything else we agree to put right as a goodwill gesture, the refund is credited as Melon Points rather than cash — after we have checked the details with you, and never without asking first. Points are credited at ₹1 = 1 point, can be spent on any future booking or order, and are valid for 12 months from the day we credit them.
Asking for a refund
Open your account, find the workshop seat or order, and choose Request a refund — tell us what went wrong. We review every request and may call or message you to understand it before we decide. If we approve it, your Melon Points are credited straight away and we email you; if we cannot, we tell you why.
If you think we have this wrong
Email us before you dispute the charge with your bank — it is faster and we will almost always sort it out. Our grievance officer replies within 30 days and we resolve complaints within 90.
